Dave I have talked to some associates they are either out of florida or ga. I believe they are a small company that uses united road and fleet car as sources to g loads back to point of destination. I have seen the pictures at buyers be aware and believe one of the trucks used is a union truck.? Also the union on the point of proper tie downs and damage delivery is like throwing stones in the glass house!!!!! tHEY NEED TO CHANGE TACTICS IF THEY WANT TO PROVE ANY POINTS. We all know that the rates being paid are cut before O/O gets paid and the fact that all these companies have two or more shell companies. How about the fact that a carhauler who gets 25% of load has to pay 100% of damage I am still trying to find out if this is legal? Or the driver who is a independant contractor and the lease owner who has NO choice on were or when or how they run or when they get home and when they leave. Lots of reasons to get excited about union is on way out if they do not change the way they operate and work rule changes!!!!!!!

Mr .stewart you apparently are union and proud and that's ok but do you know that your union companies are being taken over by non-union management and the propaganda that hoffa is putting out just makes you guys look worse we all know that teamsters have bridge hits and accidents everyday!!!!! The reality is most non-union drivers started at a union hall near you.! I ask you when is the last time you talked to a non-union carhauler and tried to organize him and his company and express how we could all be better off in bigger and stronger numbers and then our pay and work conditions would improve or how about your B.A. has he tried or is it better to just call them scabs and throw rocks and things at them?? That does not work only makes them stronger and more determined to suceed without unions.Believe me they need them due to the fact that they are working for free while the big bosses are ripping them off with double breasting type deals so please help and start talking positive and ORGANIZE!!!!!!

Whoooooo....Who's working for free????? Not me.... My company has deals with[the company itself and not some flybynite load broker] Chrysler, Mitsubishi, Ford, Volkswagen and Audi.. We don't work for FREE.. trust me... I've NEVER made more take home pay since I was a broker, thanANY trucking job I've ever had. I left the TOOTHLESS Teamsters in '97, and have been happy ever since. I wont lie here.. YA... I put in a lot more hours thana Union guy...but I get rewarded for it I run mostly long haul.. I prefer it.. less loading and unloading. we have a real mixed bag of work, lots of short and long haul. I left the teamsters in '97 with 11yrs. service, and was happy to go. I bought a used truck, paid it off and ordered a new one, and the cycle continues today. This lifestyle isn't for everyone.. but it does give me the freedom to make a good living and pick and choose my work days.

Hello and I wish all of you the best. I have no hate for non-union drivers because if it wasn't for a large number of mis-informed non-union truck drivers, I probably wouldn't be retired now at age 53. Being a car-hauler is a very hard job espicially for a Jamaican in the winter months, so I wanted the best in return for doing a good job for my previous employers. Example, I wanted time to enjoy what I was working so hard for, like my family, home, new cars, new Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, swimming pool, vacations, doctors appointment, dentice appointment, and basically to have a balance in my life. Working for company that is signatory to a union contract was the way for me to accomplished that goal. Working for a non-union company I would have been on my own, but in a union barn we have a contract. A union can not prevent the owners of a company from running his/her company into the ground, but the union will fight for your rights while you are working for a company. I am glad that I didn't waste my younger years working for any non-union barn, retiremen at fifty three years old feel wonderful and I'm loving it.

From experience driving car carriers, the owner of that truck must must get a serious neck pain at the end of each day because of the head rack. Better him than me.
